Rare George III mahogany metamorphic library steps / table / stool; of very unusual form; the rectangular top on an inset plain frieze raised on square legs headed with reeded roundels to all corners housing the three treads. When the stool is placed on its end converts to form the library steps.
English circa 1800
Good condition, strong and sturdy, with good mellow colour and wax finish
