Rare mid C19th Indian lacquered chest / trunk on stand; profusely decorated with flowers and trailing foliage. The chest with a hinged lid, having an open interior, raised on its original 'x' frame stand having carved anthemiums and flower heads, united by pierced shaped stretchers, terminating with scroll feet.

Good sound original condition with some wear to the lid commensurate of age and use with a good aged craquelure finish
