An exceptional C19th Italian walnut and majolica centre table; the impressive circular top with a large colourful majolica panel depicting a central butterfly flanked by two cockatoos surrounded by exotic flowers and foliage on a dark brown background; housed in a walnut frame with a moulded edge intricately carved with flower heads and trailing foliage; with an inset apron below, raised on a majolica vase shaped column, decorated with cockatoos and flowers.  Raised on a walnut plinth with anthemion carving leading to the triform platform base with three boldly carved Venetian winged lions.
