Dimensions:

Good Regency penwork decorated chess table / occasional table with finely drawn decoration.  The profusely decorated square top, having a central chess board, the squares depicting various buildings, boats, animals, birds and insects within a trailing grapevine border with hop flowers; the hinged top revealing a plain pale green painted  interior.  The frieze with trailing flowers and foliage to all sides so it can be used freestanding.  Raised on elegant square tapering legs.  Good 'country house' original condition.
