Rare Georgian mahogany stool, of very unusual form in the Chippendale manner; the rectangular drop in seat newly upholstered in mustard suede, housed in a plain seat frame, above the two well figured mahogany shelves, with curved inverted fronts (so not to obstruct your legs while sitting). Housed in a narrow frame with vertical slats to the sides and reverse. Standing on moulded square legs, retaining their original brass barrel castors. With an excellent colour and patina.
English circa 1760
