A fine George III satinwood and marquetry demilune card table; the half moon top with a large satinwood panel centred with an oval sycamore paterae surrounded by scrolling foliage; with a wide border having large flower heads with trailing leaves between on a mahogany background; all crossbanded in amaranth with boxwood stringing; the interior with similar crossbanding and a green baize lined playing surface. The shallow frieze inlaid with flower heads and further neo classical ornamentation; all crossbanded in amaranth; raised on elegant square tapering legs, headed with oval flower head paterae. All of the marquetry has original penwork decoration which gives intricate and bold definition.
The baize interior which is probably original is in a slightly distressed but useable condition. This can be relined in new baize at no extra cost.
