An exceptional early 20th Century pair of 'White Star Line' Wine Coolers, these rare ocean liner champagne/wine coolers in copper and brass, of stylish Art Deco form. Stamped "White Star" and "SS Boston".
The tapering square bodies with a brass central lid, concealing an internal reservoir for ice, surrounded by four angled compartments for wine or champagne bottles. The square corners and the sleeves finished with slim brass mouldings. The sides with two brass scrolled carrying handles and raised on a brass moulded circular plinth.
The White Star Line had luxury liners including the Titanic.
