C19th 'primitive' oil painting of a hunt with a naive charm and of large proportions. The oil on canvas depicting a hunting scene with the huntsmen riding Chestnut, Bays and Grey horses with the hounds running in a hilly landscape setting. Housed in its original moulded figured maple frame with a shallow gilt slip.
Provenance: purchased in 2000 from a prominent antique dealer for a substantial sum with copy of invoice
