A good Regency pair of rosewood bergere / library chairs attributed to Gillows of neat proportions having caned shaped backs and seat. The curved top rail with a scrolled over top edge on down swept sides terminating in carved scrolled lapets. The moulded front seat rail on turned tapering legs with lotus leaf carving headed with flower head square paterae. Have sabre legs to the rear. All canework in excellent and tight condition. Squab seat cushions can be supplied to client specifications.
