Good C19th carved mahogany upholstered wing / armchair; of generous proportions in the Georgian manner; the padded back flanked by shaped serpentine wings above the scrolled over arms with very shapely swept supports; raised on mahogany cabriole legs to the front well carved with scrolled acanthus leaves and hare bells terminating in pad feet, the shapely rear legs having an exaggerated sweep with club feet. Retaining original concealed brass castors. Very comfortable chair and of generous proportions upholstered in a topiary pattern fabric in usable condition. This is a good C19th copy of a Georgian chair with the right scale and proportions. Not to be compared with the mass produced early C20th copies.
