A handsome Regency rosewood writing table / library table; high quality and well proportioned; the rectangular cross banded top having a good light tan leather writing surface with a worn gilt tooled edge enhanced by historic use; above the shallow frieze with a full length concealed drawer being fully mahogany lined. The edge of the frieze with a carved reel moulding. Raised on twin turned supports united by a turned tapering stretcher terminating in large carved petal rosettes. The swept legs with roundels to all sides terminating in original brass scroll foliate toe castors which have a lovely patinated bronze appearance. Finished on the reverse so can be used free standing.
