An excellent example of a George III mahogany `Chippendale` tray top bedside cabinet. The well figured top with exaggerated shaped three quarter gallery incorporating pierced handle grips, supported in re-entrant shaped cornered uprights. The well figured pair of doors with cleated sides and retaining the original brass axe head handle, with bold carved scrolled corner brackets beneath. The legs with an outer edge mould and deep inner chamfer, terminating in an usual double step mould.
Outstanding colour and good patina.
