An exceptional 19th century pair of kingwood and ebony side cabinets, the rectangular tops with ebony banding and re-entrant corners with carved ebony mouldings of anthemion and vetruvian scroll design; above a central bank of four graduating drawers of good figuring and with mahogany drawer linings and octagonal knob handles; flanked by cupboards to either side with adjustable shelves and well figured doors incorporating panels with re-entrant corners; standing on an unusual flared plinth, raised on ebony bun feet.
