Late Regency Gillows mahogany library table / centre table; excellent Gillows quality; the very well figured rectangular top with rounded corners having a bold gadrooned moulded edge above the shallow frieze having a bead and reel moulding incorporating the concealed shallow drawers. Being fully mahogany lined and having finger grips beneath. Raised on turned and reeded standard end supports on shaped plinths with a slender beaded moulded edge. Raised on turned bun feet with inset original brass castors.

Very good condition with a lovely natural slightly faded colour to the top.

The pattern for this table appears in the Gillows Estimate Sketch Book for 24th September 1824 and 28th November 1827. In 1828 the table cost was £9/5shillings.
