Good large C19th naive oil painting of a stallion / horse; "Pride of England" by T Benson; the oil on canvas depicting the grey horse with unusual black mane and tail in a proud stance.  His head tilted with an alert expression, tacked with an elaborate bridle, double reins to the roller around his middle.  Stood in a landscape setting with a wooden fence and large tree and a water pipe gushing into a stone trough overflowing onto the grass.  Titled 'Pride of England' to the bottom left corner, signed and dated on the trough 'T Benson 1857'.  Housed in its original ebonised frame with a reeded edge and giltwood slip.
