An impressive Georgian walnut chest on chest / tallboy having great gravitas with striking figured walnut veneers and walnut crossgrain mouldings throughout. The upper section having a shapely cornice with crossgrain mouldings and a dental carving above an arrangement of 2 short and 3 long graduating drawers in well figured walnut having narrow inlaid chequered banding; flanked by finely carved blind fret canted corners. The lower section having 3 long graduated drawers flanked by fluted canted corners terminating with carved leaf scrolls; raised on original, very shapely, ogee bracket feet. All the drawers having brass swan neck handles and being fully oak lined and retaining the original working locks and key. The sides of the tallboy also in well figured walnut. A lovely mellow colour, the photos do not do it justice.
