A fine George III Sheraton mahogany occasional table / centre table; of an unusual and elegant design; the well figured square top having wide re-entrant corners with a narrow tulipwood crossbanding, above the frieze with breakfront bowed corners; each of the four sides having a drawer face, 2 dummies and a central mahogany lined through drawer accessible from both side, all with original gilt brass knob handles and crossbanded in tulipwood with boxwood and ebony stringing. Raised on an octagonal tapering column with four outswept legs all with boxwood stringing; terminating in original gilt brass cap castors. A good naturally faded colour.
