A rare George II mahogany bureau on stand in the manner of Thomas Chippendale; of diminutive proportions; the fall front retaining its original brass escutcheon and   rare 3-pin lock and key, much favoured by Chippendale.  The interior having an arrangement of four oak lined drawers and pigeon holes.  The two oak lined drawers below with over lip mouldings and original brass open plate handles and the sides with similar brass carrying handles.  The bureau sits on its original mahogany stand, having a moulded edge to the frame raised on square legs with an inner chamfer joined by traditional 'H' stretchers.
